A Day Built for Adventure: Defender Drive Day Recap
There’s no better way to appreciate the true capability of the Land Rover Defender than putting it to the test — and our recent Defender Drive Day did exactly that.
Held in perfect conditions, the day delivered outstanding weather and even better experiences, setting the scene for an unforgettable off-road adventure. Guests joined the Duncan & Ebbett team for a hands-on Defender experience that showcased just how confidently this iconic vehicle handles challenging terrain.
The day began at the picturesque Tieke Golf Estate, where guests enjoyed tea and coffee before heading out to the off-road course at Karapiro. With excitement high, participants took to the terrain in their own Defender, allowing everyone to fully immerse themselves in the experience.
Partnering with us for the event was the expert team from Downforce NZ, whose professionalism, technical knowledge, and focus on safety ensured every driver could push boundaries with confidence. Under their guidance, guests navigated a variety of obstacles, gaining a genuine appreciation for the Defender’s capability, control, and composure in demanding conditions.
Following the off-road drive, the group returned to Tieke Golf Estate to relax and share stories over a delicious lunch — the perfect way to round out a day filled with adventure, learning, and great company.
Beyond the driving experience itself, the Defender Drive Day was also an opportunity to give back. We were proud to donate all proceeds from the event to BluBlokes, supporting the Prostate Cancer Foundation, adding an even greater sense of purpose to an already memorable day.
