The BYD ATTO3 in New Zealand has now become the most awarded EV of 2022, earning six notable awards, including the prestigious New Zealand Car of the Year from the Motoring Writers Guild.

Off the back of winning several national awards across different publications, it’s no surprise that BYD has been listed as a supplier on the All of Government motor vehicle fleet list.
Local awards have reflected the success of international acclaim with a series of global awards also won during 2022. Most recently, BYD Co. Ltd Chairman & President Wang Chuanfu was nominated as a finalist for World Car Person of the Year, an award that recognises individual contribution to the global vehicle industry.
In 2022, BYD became the world’s best‐selling plug‐in electric vehicle brand, managing to sell a record 1.8 million units, more than triple its numbers from a year earlier and an increase of 208.64 % over 2021.
